We are currently supporting an ongoing project in Nigeria aimed at saving and improving lives in some deteriorating parts of the country. It will also provide deprived areas with good hospitals and clean water and create job opportunities for the local area. This Life Saving Project was started by our head branch, in Nigeria and though a lot of progress has been made, more work needs to be carried out. Hence support is greatly needed.
To date, the following areas of the project are still in progress:
- Fish Farms – For breeding fish for commercial purposes.
- Cottage Industry – For food production ranging from oil, cereal and other carbohydrate and nutritional foods.
- Hospital complex – To assist in the care and treatment of the sick in deprived areas.
- Fuel stations – For the storage of various fuels.
- Craft centres - A learning centre for the unemployed to develop new skills to enable them become independent and employable.
- Housing – For the very poor including children who have been orphaned.
- Warehouses – For the storage of food and other equipment used for agriculture.
- We also have monthly bake sales and a yearly charity BBQ to raise funds
